An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Health Safety and Compliance Manager – To liaise with senior managers, contractors and tenants across the Commercial Estate and Strategic Property Services in support of an integrated approach to health, safety, welfare and best practice into their strategic planning and organisational decision making:

Responsibilities
To be the primary point of contact for the Commercial Estates Service with regulatory, enforcement and similar agencies for compliance and incident management. To provide practical advice and guidance on the interpretation of duties and responsibilities under commercial lease arrangements:

Qualification – Essential

GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English & Mathematics
NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, BSc or
Equivalent in a relevant subject and working knowledge and experience of CDM
PowerUser –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Adobe, Outlook and Social Media
To apply for this position candidates MUST possess the following skills and experience
Extensive experience working as a health and safety practitioner or estate compliance officer
Experience of managing within a commercial property environment
Recent experience of devising and implementing safety and fire management systems and audit models
Knowledge and understanding of legislation, case law, enforcement practice and best practice in health, safety, welfare and fire
Good analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Able to plan, prioritise and organise workloads at both strategic and operational l levels
Ability to advise on, prepare and deliver training to managers and staff
Advanced user of information technology, Microsoft Office, Excel/Word to provide management information.
Good negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to research, prepare and write concise reports, policy and procedures
Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads
Ability to build effective working relationships with service managers and employee trade union representatives
Able to provide Three Years of references – essential
Enhanced DBS on the update system – essential
