An opportunity has arisen for a Part-time Audio Visual Technician. To provide the Education Department with the means to professionally translate traditional face-to-face group training into a blended on-line digital offer.

To be responsible for the smooth running of studio sessions, live streaming events including pre-planning, coordination of resources, supportive communication with trainers, and setting up for rehearsals, and hands-on involvement to physically set up spaces, and provide excellent customer service:

Qualification – Essential

GCSEs English, Math’s & IT
Level 4 Qualification in sound engineering, production
Complementary qualifications in the Arts, which demonstrate aesthetic skills
Holds Health & Safety qualifications for allied activities, such as working at height, electrical safety, or other qualifications such as Fire Marshalling, or Customer Service which will be beneficial in your role
Advanced – Microsoft; Word, PowerPoint, – Excel & Outlook – Essential

To APPLY for this position candidates MUST possess the following skills and experience
Experience of running and managing a studio space working with other technicians, and those front of camera
Experienced and proficient user of editing suite software such as Adobe’s CS Premiere Pro
Substantial experience of setting up IT & AV equipment
Experience of working in a team and leading a group session to achieve an Outcome
Able to demonstrate an understanding of health and safety legislation
Good understanding of risk assessments and method statements
Proven ability to draw up a schedule of tasks and demonstrate an ability to prioritise
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and to direct others as appropriate
Able to work with the public/users, other staff, schools and on occasion with young people themselves
Proven ability to manage a workload effectively
Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to the unexpected
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Able to provide Five Years of references – essential
Enhanced DBS on the update system – essential
