DBR03803 Business Support Officer

We are looking for a Business Support Officer to support one of our clients in Merseyside; to manage the confidential administrative support to the Business and Operations Manager and the staff at a full-time Adult Education Centre.

Responsibilities:
To supervise the administration staff to ensure that work is prioritised, and carried out under service priorities, policies and procedures. To maintain systems and processes that provides accurate data capture, recording, maintenance and retrieval of learner information following service standards and practices.

Qualification – Essential

GCSE/O Level, 5 GCSE’S including English & maths
NVQ, Diploma, relevant degree or relevant experience
Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media
Essential – Skills, Abilities & Experience
Experience of people management and leadership skills
Able to demonstrate experience in administration support, producing reports, documents, teaching materials, and record-keeping,
Advanced experience using a variety of ICT packages including Microsoft Office
Well-developed verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills
Experience in general clerical duties – filing, photocopying and stock maintenance
Experience of ordering goods, services and monitoring expenditure
Experience of working in a customer centred environment
Ability to acquire the necessary advice and information training to support student queries
Ability to work within a team and work on your initiative when required
Knowledge of the Adult Learning Service
Strong diary management, minute taking, with 55WPM typing speed and communicating via emails
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, and weekends
Experience in inputting service data into a variety of XL spreadsheets, e.g. OTL, CRB, staff development and staff database
Experience of organising and attending meetings and provide administrative support in the production of agendas and minutes
Ability to manage own time and prioritise others to deliver to defined objectives within agreed timescales
Ability to effectively coordinate resources to manage conflicting demands and priorities
Able to provide three Years of references -Essential
