Our local authority client in North West London is recruiting a Plumbing – Building Services & Maintenance: To carry out building repairs, maintenance and renewals ranging from emergency and other routine reactive repairs on numerous sites daily to single-site programmed repairs and refurbishment work in occupied and void housing properties and other premises following best trade practice and to current standards and regulations:

Responsibilities:
To carry out works to a consistently high standard of quality and customer satisfaction and complete works ‘Right First Time’. Hours of work will be between the core hours of 8.00 am, and 6.00 pm (Monday – Friday) and 8.00 am and 1.00 pm (Saturday) as directed by management. Able to demonstrate experienced Plumber to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and associated fixtures and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial structures. You will also be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure they comply with regulatory codes.

Qualification – Essential

GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
NVQ Diploma (Levels 2 and 3) in plumbing and domestic heating
Clean driving licence – Working as a mobile worker
Advanced – Microsoft; Word, PowerPoint, – Excel & Outlook – Essential

Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential

Recent and hands-on experience in Installing or maintaining heating systems
Good knowledge of repairing sanitation systems
Understanding of fitting domestic appliances (such as dishwashers)
Knowledge and experience of Installing air-conditioning units
Experience of Fitting bathrooms
The ability to undertake Emergency repairs
Experience of reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts
Understanding of Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
Fitting and repairing various household appliances.
Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
Experience of inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
Experience of handling customer queries and responding to call-outs
Experience of Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
Ability and knowledge of Preparing cost estimates
Able to provide Three Years of references – essential
Enhanced DBS on the update system – essential
