Our local authority client in South West London is recruiting a Digital Content Design Officer: to assist us in maintaining our current website content and developing new content at pace.
Responsibilities:
Responding to and actioning urgent requests from service areas relating to our current website, particularly when relevant to the Covid-19 outbreak
Qualification – Essential
GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
A relevant Professional Qualification
Advanced knowledge of: Drupal/LAMP developer, Advanced PHP & MySQL, HTML/CSS/AJAX/JavaScript,
Apache Server, Linux, Web & Front-End Developer
Advanced – Microsoft; Word, PowerPoint, – Excel & Outlook – Essential
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
Able to demonstrate experience of writing content for public-facing websites
Current experience using and managing content management systems, e.g. Drupal, Liferay
Excellent ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written work
Ability to communicate effectively face to face, over the telephone and in writing
Proven expertise in web design and the use of web content management systems
Strong experience of developing editorial guidelines for writing web content
Recent experience of working within a multi-discipline web team, acting as the conduit between communications and other teams
Knowledge of other relevant areas of expertise such as copywriting, web programming and, video, live chat, blogs and photography
Good understanding of web standards, accessibility, usability and web content management processes
Good experience of working in a web publishing environment, including formatting content for digital production
Strong experience of creating, editing and proofing copy for the web
Good experience in managing digital assets, including video and images using a content management system
Knowledge of the latest trends in public sector web content design and government digital service design standards.
Knowledge and experience in a digital content marketing environment
Able to provide Three Years of references – essential
