Our local authority client in Ilford is recruiting a Facilities Management Operations Manager: to lead the day to day delivery of all hard and soft Facilities Management Services across the operational estate, ensuring the effective and safe operation of all functional buildings for the benefits of service users, visitors and staff; Managing maintenance improvement and compliance works across the estate, managing contractors and project teams as required:

Responsibilities:
Responsible for staffing, consumables and day to day operational budgets and all staffing matters in respect of the facilities operations team (hours, shift patterns etc.), job priorities, building maintenance, health & safety, compliance and project-related activities:
Qualification – Essential

GCSEs (A-B) and A-levels
Project Management qualification, – PRINCE2, Agile etc
AssocRICS / experience within a PFI environment
Knowledge of CDM regulations and building contracts
Advanced – Microsoft; Word, PowerPoint, – Excel & Outlook – – essential
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential

Experience in the management and delivery of facilities management services to time, cost and quality
Knowledge of modern facilities management methods and how to apply them
Experience in ICT and able to use technology to deliver service improvement efficiencies
Experience of successfully managing projects and awareness of the importance of addressing issues and risks
Good working knowledge of health and safety and ability to interpret policy, legislation and implement best practice across all service
Proven experience of managing customer and contractor relations and able to forge strong networks and alliances with internal teams, contractors and suppliers
Sound knowledge of best practice in performance management and the ability to develop a performance management culture within a facilities management environment
Ability to demonstrate leadership in emergencies and to formulate effective and appropriate responses based on sound technical knowledge
Able to provide Three Years of references – essential
