Our Client in Herefordshire is recruiting ICT Desktop Engineer– to join the Desktop team, supporting a wide range of public sector and private sector customers, including Local Authority and the NHS Trust.

To work in a large Desktop support team resolving customer ICT queries, and issues relating to desktop hardware peripherals and software both remotely and on-site across 100+ sites primarily throughout Herefordshire.

Qualification – Essential

GCSE/O Level, 5 GCSE'S including English & maths
Degree or relevant hands-on experience in an ICT desktop role
PowerUser –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Adobe, Outlook and Social Media
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential

Experience of delivering work to agreed timelines and quality criteria within a similar role
Advanced technical and client-facing skills gained over time and experience
Experience working in a desktop role across multiple building locations
Proven experience managing device Issue and Incident Management to agreed SLAs as a minimum
Able to support covers Networked and non-networked devices
Good understanding of how to work within agreed practices to maintain effective ICT solutions
Knowledge of delivering within agreed business processes to support ICT users through active customer service and operational delivery
Understanding of how changes to information systems and technical architecture may impact on ICT users
Up to date knowledge of the latest ICT innovations – is desirable
Knowledge and experience of the activities of a local authority & the NHS – is desirable
