We are looking for an ICT Officer Desktop Support; to be involved in resolving a wide range of ICT issues or contributing to new programmes and projects. To maintain a broad skills base to provide cover for both senior managers and other colleagues as required:
Responsibilities:
To undertake work with limited supervision (except in areas of particular technical complexity or sensitivity) subject to review on completion and commensurate with their professional specialism and role responsibilities:
Qualification – Essential:
GCSE/O Level, 5 GCSE'S including English & maths
SQA Standard Grade or equivalent
Holds relevant certification or qualification at an appropriate level to fulfil the technical specialist areas of the role is desirable
PowerUser –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Adobe, Outlook and Social Media
Essential – Skills, Abilities & Experience
Experience of delivering work to agreed timelines and quality criteria within a similar role
Experience of working within the technical specialist area of the role
Advanced technical and client-facing skills gained over time and experience
Able to Demonstrate experience working in a desktop role across multiple building locations
Must able to deal with customers at all levels in the organisation, presenting a positive, professional, pragmatic “can-do/will-do” approach to the work – essential
Good knowledge of Networks & Active Directory (AD) – Advanced knowledge would be an advantage
Proven experience managing device IMAC & Issue and Incident Management to agreed SLAs as a minimum
The Client's tool of the record is LANDesk; training provided in the tool
Able to support covers Networked and non-networked devices
Knowledge of supporting Video Conferencing equipment and software, and ready to provide technical troubleshooting
Good understanding of how to work within agreed practices to maintain effective ICT solutions
Good knowledge of delivering within agreed business processes to support ICT users through active customer service and operational delivery
Good understanding of how changes to information systems and technical architecture may impact on ICT users
Must have specialist knowledge commensurate with the role and level of responsibility
Up to date knowledge of the latest ICT innovations in their specialist area is desirable
Good knowledge and understanding of the activities of a local authority is desirable
Able to provide Three Years of references – essential
