We are recruiting a Payroll Processor for a public sector client in Shropshire: To deliver payroll actions in a timely and accurate manner. Creating and maintaining staff and external payroll records, calculations of pay and applicable deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records. Entering payroll information into the appropriate system for processing. Issuing payslips, P45s and producing payroll reports:

Responsibilities
Operating as the expert in delivering an efficient and effective Recruitment and Payroll service

Qualification – Essential

GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
Degree in finance or economics or Certificate III in Business or a Certificate III in Financial Services
Or equivalent experience
Advanced ECDL –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and Social Media
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential

Experience with Business World and Resource Link payroll systems
Strong customer service skills.
Ability and attention to detail, and able to follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
Strong time management skills
Ability to liaise with account contacts and academy contact for completion of monthly payroll processing and respond to queries
Able to provide advice and guidance to customers on processing timescales for recruitment, onboarding and payroll actions
Experience of resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
Experience of maintaining payroll operations by following relevant policies and procedures
Experience of accurately transacting Sickness pay, Maternity & Paternity & Adoption pay,
Ability to deal with contractual changes, Tax code changes, Leavers, PR28s
Ability to deal with deductions for the union, pension, court orders, student loans etc
Able to keep relevant data up to date on payroll systems
Able to maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
Experience of working in line with agreed service standards
Enhanced CRB/DBS; on the disclosure & barring service update system
Able to provide Three Years of references – essential
