Admin & Project Support Officer
We are selecting an Admin & Project Support Officer candidate for a public sector client: To manage items for inclusion on agendas, arranging for action points to be followed up and reported back, and to organise and assist the Sub Committee work including the facilitation of meeting arrangements, agendas, work programme and minutes:
To be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of consistent and efficient administration systems, ensuring the efficient and effective running of the Safeguarding Children Board arrangements.
Qualification – Essential
GCSE’s, Grades A-C or equivalent to include Maths and English
NVQ Business Administration Level 3, BTEC or equivalent
Experience of a similar role or function.
Proven minute taking experience – essential
Advanced – Microsoft; Word, PowerPoint, – Excel & Outlook – essential
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
Recognised ability to take meeting minutes/action notes and reproduce accurate records of meetings.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
Accurate typing ability with a minimum of 65 words per minute typing rate
Demonstrated evidence of maintaining alphabetical and numerical filing systems and diary management
Proven minute taking and audio typing skills
Strong ability to co-ordinate and manager a varied workload and meet tight deadlines
Proven ability to competently minute professional/practitioner meetings and produce an acceptable draft within a specified timescale
Experience of working in an administration role in a complex and large organisation
Experience of managing complex relationships and achieving results
Experience in successfully managing a variety of projects simultaneously and achieving targets
Experience of working within local authority children’s social service- advantage
Demonstrated consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to deal with complex issues in a sensitive and appropriate manner
Advanced computer skills with proven ability to work with information management systems, producing good quality data in a variety of formats.
An ability to manage competing demands, work methodically, think systematically and achieve targets.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to manage change and generate a culture of continuous improvement
Ability to work effectively and accurately when under pressure and to deliver to strict deadlines
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
Enhanced CRB on the Disclosure & Barring Service update system
Able to provide five years references
