Job Title: Finance Business Support Administrator
Salary: £14.43 per hour PAYE – Inside IR35
Location: North West London
Hours: 36.00 hours per week
Duration: Min 6 months – extension on performance

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Support administrator: To undertake, as an expert user, a range of complex business, financial and administrative support duties for a local government client. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a customer-focused and value-for-money public or private sector work environment. The role involves implementation of on-going maintenance of electronic and manual information management systems; able to act as an advanced user for key IT systems, setting up new users and providing them with on the floor training and provide reports based on the information held in the associated systems. Able to manage complex financial processes to include raising invoices, preparing journal transfers, reconciling income and arranging special payments. Take responsibility for the procurement of goods and services and produce associated management information for budget holders. Administrative experience to including updating web and intranet pages taking safeguarding minute:

Qualification – Essential

GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
NVQ Level 3 – Business Administration & Finance or equivalent experience
Advanced –Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Enhanced CRB

Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential

  • Excellent level of literacy and numeracy
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced Knowledge of using Microsoft excel & strong word processing skills
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to learn new ICT systems quickly.
  • Strong experience of working in a business administration environment
  • Proven experience of taking safeguarding minute and ability to work with sensitive sometimes challenging information- essential
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, including prioritisation, delegation and target setting.
  • Experience in the accurate processing of financial records – essential
  • Excellent customer care and communication skills in explaining complex information, clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of and ability to manage sensitive intelligence and information securely
  • Good understanding of the importance of keeping accurate and clear records.
