Job Title: Leasehold Services Officer
Salary: £15.32 per hour PAYE
Location: East London
Hours: 36.00 hours per week
Duration: Min 6 months – extension on performance
Our Client in East London is recruiting a Leasehold Services Officer: Role requires dealing with day to day enquiries from customers. Includes processing notices of transfer/assignment, setting up accounts on a computer system (Universal Housing), sending welcome pack letters to new customers, processing sublet registrations. The role requires good communication skills required as customers are dealt with over the phone, in writing and in person. Ability to prioritise workloads is important as this is a highly pressurised environment, and good data entry skills is a must, strong record-keeping and advanced excel and knowledge of working with multiple spreadsheets.
Qualification – Essential
5 GCSE’s including English and Maths or equivalent
Finance or Housing degree-qualification or
Relevant experience of working in a Leasehold Services Team
Advanced IT Skills
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
Knowledge of RTB, housing and service charges legislation and the legal processes which govern the resolution of disputes
Proven experience of managing income accounts and debt recovery within a Housing environment
Experience of monitoring and achieving targets and working to tight deadlines.
Experience of successfully dealing with queries and complaints from customers in a public environment
A high level of attention to detail to ensure the maintenance of accurate records and accounts and to recognise errors which require amending
Ability to identify, priorities and organise own workloads
Ability to perform accurate arithmetical calculations to advise on balances and repayment agreements and to prepare financial statements
Good oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people of different levels of seniority
Ability to implement and follow recovery procedures for the recovery of service charges, major works, ground rent, reserve fund, shared ownership rent income or similar
Excellent customer services skills
Able to work on own initiative, be flexible and a supportive member of a team
Ability to maintain accurate electronic, manual and filling Systems
Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel and Access.
Excellent organisational skills including diary and events Management
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours on occasions including during some weekends and evenings.
