Job Title: Leasehold Finance Manager
Salary: £25.20 per hour PAYE
Location: East London – E8
Hours: 36.00 hours per week
Duration: Min 6 months – extension on performance
Our Client in East London is recruiting a Leasehold Finance Manager: to manage staff and functions of the Major Works section of the Leasehold Finance Team; with two years or more experience leading a team responsible for undertaking Section 20 consultation and invoicing for major works.
Qualification – Essential
5 GCSE’s including English and Maths or equivalent
Accounting and housing degree/qualification or
Relevant experience of working in financial management within the public or private sector
A management qualification or relevant management experience
Advanced IT Skills
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
Experience of managing the billing of major works and service charges as well as leading on the provision of statutory
Outstanding knowledge of Section 20 Notice of Major Works is required to be served to all leaseholders
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present complex financial and statistical information clearly to finance and non-finance audiences
Experience of leading on key financial processes including, accounts closure, year-end procedures, and, the preparation of lead audit schedules
Knowledge of Service Charges, Major Works, Shared Ownership and Reserve Fund
A proven track record of managing a team achieving measurable success and making service improvements
Knowledge of the legislative context and policy framework surrounding Leasehold Services and Right to Buy
Knowledge of reconciling complex accounts between subsystems and the general ledger
Experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to train, empower and motivate staff to build and maintain an effective team
Ability to problem solve developing creative and innovative solutions to ensure the service is continually improved
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present complex financial and statistical information clearly to finance and non-finance audiences
Ability to operate effectively, meet conflicting priorities and delegate work were necessary to meet deadlines
Excellent analytical skills to be able to review, interpret and present financial and statistical data
Able to work on own initiative, be flexible and a supportive member of a team
Advanced IT skills, proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel and Access
Budget Monitoring Skills
Project Management Skills
